I'm honestly pretty stoked for NatGeo :D one of my favorite channels ever. By the way, are we still getting that music channel (was once ch 23)?; they always had classical music playing and operas; 24 hrs a day. I honestly liked that channel on when I was studying. A little culture never hurt anyone.

It's just a matter of cost...Fox Sports, Hallmark Channel, etc. are INCREDIBLY expensive. Completely seriously: sometimes to the tune of getting 18 other channels, or getting Fox Sports. ESPN is the same way, so we opted for ESPN over Fox Sports. Hallmark is about 15% of the total cost of cable per room, so it didn't make sense to get that one channel in lieu of others, but we're hearing some feedback from students on that channel, too. We'll keep seeing what we can do, but not sure about your request.

Corey Ross!! 90% of the shows I watch in my room are sporting events!! Is there absolutely NO possible way of getting Fox Sports?!?!

The HD channels come in perfectly, but all of the other ones have significantly decreased in picture quality. Very grainy, poor picture.

There is a butt-load of selection, which I really like. But I really want my MTV so I can catch up on Snooki. ;)

Hello Respectable man, Corey. I greatly thank you for these brief texts you put under what you called" Life Unraveled" The Journey of a frail pilgrim trying to love God and love others.

I am a christian and I dedicated my whole life to Jesus Christ. I made this decision after having deeply realised how great, uncountable are the love, the grace,mercy,...and the price Jesus Christ had paid for the redemption of human race in general and, for me personnally. Having read in a book that the best way and the only way to live is to surrender and commit one's life to God, I took this as my own way of life and I'm seeing noticeable and good results. When in situations or circumstances where I see dark, I'm seeing God directing me, instructing me by any means and by any way on how to behave or to respond to a situation or a circumstance; to sum up, I'm seeing God giving me right answer(s) in times like that.

So what you wrote has not only challenged my life, but also encouraged me, because it is similar to what I have been thinking about from several years. Now I ask you personnally to pray for me, because I want to know really what on earth I am here for, what God really created me to do on this planet and for people He created. As a child of God, I am sure that I'm not here on earth to guess and wander or to copy what others have done and do it accordingly. This is a great challenge in my life. Like a pregnanted woman, I also assure you that I am always ready to receive answers from our glorious and heavenly Father, our dear God. This, because everyone is special and unique as it is shown by your or my finger print, for instance. Thanks a lot for the prayer and for the understanding.

Before closing up this message, let me tell you that since I saw you on facebook, I loved you and your wife. I do not know why!

Warm-hearted greetings to your wife and your children, if you have some.

May God largely bless you all.

Hey Corey!

Had heard rumors of the Quads switching to grad housing and then had this article passed my way by Michael Kochendorfer. Obviously, mixed personal emotions just because I absolutely loved the "house" feeling of Quad 1 and know that played a huge role in my time at LeTourneau. However, I can see how it makes a lot of sense for the campus as a whole etc. so that's cool to see changes happening!

One question, when you're talking about "Honors Program Housing" is still meaning the old-school term where anyone with decent grades can be in that housing, or are we actually talking about the "Honors Program" (ie Dr. Coppinger, group I was PA for for a couple years, etc.)? My two cents, but I'm hoping it is the former and not the actual Honors Program. I have heard of other universities experiencing success with their actual honors program being housed together, however I think LeTU has a tendency to receive super-smart, but often socially-delayed honors students (I can say that since I was one of them ;) and the most positive transformations I saw in my students were often a result of their floors. I remember a couple guys who were painfully reclusive and landed on Dorm Four - I thought it would be a disaster, but they ended up outside their shell in a way I never saw happen inside the Honors Program. Just a thought, probably a bit late at this point, but thought I'd throw that out there anyway.

Hope all is well for you and I'm super psyched about the new residence hall!
